What the heck is a sun wheel?

A sun wheel is a flow prop based off of a traditional Sikh martial arts weapon called a vadda chakkar, or gatka chakkar. See the "About" page for more info!

What is it like to spin a sun wheel?

If I were to compare the feel of spinning a sun wheel to another flow prop it would fall somewhere in between a martial staff and a hula hoop. The rotation and cyclical nature of spinning feels similar to movements you can do with a hoop, and the prop spins by rotating a bar in the center, much like staff spinning or colorguard. The weight of the beads at the ends allows the wheel to keep spinning even when you aren't, which allows for beautiful palm spins! It feels more like a dance partner than anything else, and can be very meditative.

How long will I wait to receive my sun wheel?

Sun wheels are very labor intensive to make, and require a multitude of different parts and materials. The current production time for all sun wheels is 2-3 weeks.

How long does it take to ship?

Once assembly is complete, the package will be shipped via UPS Ground or USPS Priority and should arrive within 2-4 business days. International shipping times vary by destination and are subject to delays.

Can you make custom color combinations?
